Attention 4chan extension/user script/archive developers: Some time in the next few days, we'll be rolling out a complete HTML rewrite of the imageboards.
The design will remain the same, but the underlying HTML/CSS is completely new, and validates HTML5/CSS3 (with some tweaks to account for cross-browser compatibility).

Please visit this thread to read more about the changes, and here to preview the code.

As a regular user, these changes should not affect you. You will need to update your 4chan browser extensions/user scripts when their maintainer updates them to be compatible with the changes.
The official 4chan Chrome extension will be ready to go when the updates happen, and 4chan X should be ready soon. We'll post more details on the day of the migration!

That's bullshit. I remember when toku wasn't on /m/, and there were plenty of non-Gundam threads and the board moved only a little slower. Old /m/ is the reason I found out about all kinds of obscure mecha shows and manga that you barely see posted nowadays, and there was lots of great discussion which helped me become the mecha fan I am today.

If my first visits to /m/ were during the time toku forced its way in, I definitely wouldn't have stayed nor cared about this place.

Yes. And instead of talking about old shows like Vifam, Dougram and tomino's old super robot shows, /m/ helps fansub them instead. I'd say that's a fair trade. Toku isn't killing /m/. Toku isn't forcing people to talk to trolls instead of ignoring them. Toku isn't forcing /m/ to make the same threads, over and over, with 300 plus replies the same SEED bashing thread we have had countless times. Toku isn't forcing people to actively discourage from posting pictures of mecha on /m/ (why do you do this /m/? Why? You are an image board, not a god damn forum, stop bashing people who just want to post pictures of robots.) Toku isn't forcing people here to act like immature teenagers and internet tough guys.

Toku isn't the problem. It's children who cant behave themselves. Kicking content off of the board isn't going to fix that problem.
