to me, it doesn't matter. Writing is about the quality of the work, not
how you record it. I don't care if you use the back of a fag packet or
the highest end computer, it all boils down to what works for you.
However I think there is something very superficial about choosing a
typewriter as for lots of people it has a retro chic quality, an air of
grandeur of many 20th century writers who used it, but in this day and
age, it's a deliberate technological step backward for what seems to be
for the sake of 'the image'. It's not too far off hipsters with old
walkmans or steampunk faggots with pocketwatches. I think it's
pretentious and takes away from what you are trying to do - write
something. |
