read a fair few excerpts for history classes. I kinda go with AJP
Taylor when he says it's 'beer-hall talk'. Except it's dressed up in
fucking Hegel-style writing, making it both vapid and turgid.
So,
insofar as it can be, in and of itself, the conception of its moral
right, notwithstanding: the posterity of, and inclination to, German
national ideals, that is, the obligation to the affront to the
constitution of the German character, it isn't worth reading. |
