the problem with speed reading, even if studying and doing research is you often skip or don't intake any of what you read. Which makes the whole reason for reading it in the first place pointless.

Read the left page with the left eye, right page with the right eye. Combine them in your mind when you need to scan for details later. That's what I did.

Don't read linearly. Look at a sentence and try to just see the significant words (anything longer than three or four letters). It takes practice.
