It's a nice series because it focuses on the politics and set the ~world of magic~ as a background, but it's far from offering a great insight into human nature.

I think it tries way too hard to be edgy and dark. Not the biggest fan of GRRM, but when I am in the mood for that (which I am from time to time) I enjoy his books.

Well, partying (as in hedonism) is sort of the thing you expect people to do when they're not equipped with any compelling value system during their education.

That's why the Western world deserves to be overrun by immigrants. They still have some form of social cohesion. We have nothing except some form of lukewarm liberalism that teaches you to respect peoples right to party or not party.
