So everyone is telling me to read Hunger Games and how it's just the best damn book in the world. I'm a little skeptical, because some of the same people that are telling me this are also twilight enthusiasts and I don't think our tastes quite match up. Have any of you read Hunger Games, and could you tell me your thoughts on it? I know I'm going to see the movie and would prefer if I could read the books first. Thanks.

    If you are:

    >under 16 years old
    >a girl
    >an under-read moron
    >all of the above

you will probably enjoy it. If not, avoid avoid avoid.

Well, it's not like it's better than Battle Royale. Just read that.

The first 2 books are a recommended read, but I would avoid the third book like the plague. Like any good book, I really didn't want the first book to end when it did. I was a bit skeptical after all the hype too, but really got into them after the first couple chapters. I finished the first book in about 2 days as I couldn't put the book down. Mockingjay was great, but it didn't match up to how good the first one was. The third book is a real disappointment though, and I won't go into it as I don't want to spoil what happens.

You don't read good enough books. A really good book ends when it should - when it's gone as far as it should go, and not a step further.
