01/17/11(Mon)21:52 No.1465949I doubt it.
/new/
left because, when moot recreated it, he did so provisionally - he
wanted to see if there could be a news board that wouldn't turn into
stormfront like /n/ did. unfortunately that's exactly what happened to
/new/.
/r9k/ left because... well, because it no longer had a
purpose. /adv/, /lit/, /sci/, and /soc/ all drained important functions
away from it - and in the end it was almost exclusively devoted to
bawwing. /r9k/ died because it had become a sorry, sorry board.
/lit/,
on the other hand, is largely on topic. there are frequently decent
discussions. it's not full of insane, virulently racist, scary posters.
and it's not that slow by small-board standards. it would make no sense
for m00t to delete it. |
