Not the guy you're replying to, but the reality is that the number of people willing to discuss politics on a regular basis without being paid heavily for it is shockingly low unless it directly affects them (e.g. DOMA). Beyond that though, nobody really cares. You could argue that the purpose of modern democracy isn't to actually give choice to the populace about how they're governed, but instead to give them a token opportunity to wash their hands of any guilt about not paying attention to politics by voting every few years (assuming they have any guilt about it in the first place).

I don't think you understand how this is bullshit. Reverse this around and include "Teh Menz" instead of women and you'd never let it pass.

Being interested in something is something that happens on a personal level. When an entire gender is disinterested in something, it's a trend. And we have to look at what causes that trend instead of saying "bitches just ain't interested" which is what you're doing now.

Unless you can prove that there's a genuinely strong neurological difference you can *directly* link to this, then you're talking a cultural problem. Granted one which is a problem with most cultures, but that doesn't justify it either.

It's illegal to pay women less for the same job than a man. If you can prove that this happens you can take your employer to court and sue them.

Men earn more than women because on average they work more dangerous jobs, longer hours and take less time off work.

Men also make up 90% of all work place injuries and deaths. I don't see any feminist complaining about that.
