ITT: NORPs ask traps (MtF or FtM, doesn't matter) weird or rude questions that we've wondered while trying our best to avoid a shitstorm. Or at least direct the arguing to this thread, away from the generals.

Mine: Does the male or female "privilege" exist or is it pure myth? How different is life in a different body?
>>
>>717463 (OP)
Yes, but it's not always in huge concrete pieces, a lot of it's in the way people treat you, just little differences in attitudes and expectations, etc

Also it's not bad, there are definitely some new experience but a lot of it still just life - going to work, shopping, browsing 4chan etc. It's much better don't get me wrong, there's no longer a huge amount of pain, but aside from the times that sort of highlight the difference (first time chatting in a line for the women's room, first manicure, etc) it's not all that different.
>>
Another one: How real is the dysphoria? Are the triggers also true? Is it just feeling bad or is it actually possible to go all PTSD from being called the wrong gender or have a chaser go after you?

>>717495
Thanks.
>>
>>717523
>How real is the dysphoria?

That's kind of hard to answer. Ever been in such chronic pain that you sort of tune it out but it's still effecting you? Because that's sort of how it was, a constant depression/anxiety

>Are the triggers also true?

I dunno. I guess for some people sure, especially from really traumatic things. But it's the same for cis people who've been through trauma too

> Is it just feeling bad or is it actually possible to go all PTSD from being called the wrong gender or have a chaser go after you?

From what I've heard from other trans people it's not so much 'go all PTSD' like the stereotypical Vietnam vet shooting people, but generally it's more of an internal sort of collapse where you feel like you just want to curl into a ball and hide and never see anyone again. But I imagine it varies
>>
I never understood how gender dysphoria was any different than say, a short man wanting to be tall or a woman wanting larger breasts.
>>
>>717542

As I understand it, it's not so much that you necessarily want to change something about yourself, but more that there's something wrong with you somehow.
>>
>>717523
Mtf here
Randomly broke down onto the floor and cried for a good 15 minutes

Dysphoria is real
>>
>>717547
But that's how short men and flat women feel.
>>
> but generally it's more of an internal sort of collapse where you feel like you just want to curl into a ball and hide and never see anyone again.

That's what I do
>>
>>717542
It's hard to understand. And it's not exactly completely understood by science.

However, it seems to be an obsession that can't leave your mind. It's also doubly worse as either of those examples because for example: if you are short, you are short. If you have gender dysphoria however, you are (if MtF) a male and you are constantly getting manlier and manlier over time, it's only going to get worse.

Transition is also seen to improve the quality of life tremendously of people who see themselves as the opposite sex.

>>717563

Does rude questions include lewd questions as well?
>>
>>717568
This will be the first really rude kind of question then: shouldn't it be compared to anorexia then?

>>717577
Sure.
>>
>>717548
yep. I have those days where I just start crying and can't even look in a mirror without breaking down. I hate it. I'm not being melodramatic, I know I am being completely irrational yet I still continue to feel terrible about myself.

Everyone experiences life differently. I never saw myself as identifying as a girl when I was younger, as I thought it to be absurd. Eventually I started to get depressed about myself and I had no real clue why I was feeling the way I am. I still feel like an idiot and a slave to something absolutely ridiculous but as hard as I try I can't get over it.
>>
>>717585
Don't feel like you are being rude, ask away I won't be offended.

I think it can be compared to anorexia and body dysmorphia. However the problem is that transgenderism is not only tied with your body but also your identity. Your thoughts first are about your body not matching your brain. When you realize this you start identifying as the opposite gender and want to do the things that they do and be labeled as some of the opposite gender to validate you can be like them and you can be seen like them. People will still see you as something you don't want to be when you are transgender, and that will make you feel doubly worse.

In the case of an anorexic, you will be never be happy even when you are extremely skinny. Transgender people generally would be content when they look and are treated as the gender they see themselves as
>>
>>717523
Question about terminology, what's a chaser?
>>
>>717627
Someone who pursues trans people exclusively, it's supposed to be just the creeps who are like "omg I wanna suck your girlcock" but some people use it a bit more liberally
>>
>>717627
A chaser is someone who is attracted to a trans person because of their genitals and their body due to having both male and female parts.

Chasers have a bad connotation because a lot of chasers see transpeople as a novelty and fail to understand them as people. Tranny porn is one of the top fetishes that people watch, so certain people that seek out transgender people only do it to satisfy a kink or a fetish and don't see transgirls as people.

However, it's okay to be attracted to transsexuals as long as you understand that they are people and they want to be treated as the gender they see themselves as, and not as a third gender
>>
>>717627
Fetishists who don't treat trans as real people, just sex objects
>>
Trap genitals. Do those constructed penises or vaginas even work? Have they affected your sexual lives positively or negatively?

Woah, in that case I should probably refrain from asking those lewd questions then.
>>
>>717692
Not at all. As long as you're not a creep and you're okay with not touching the dick, transgirls will love you for saying lewd things
>>
>>717692
No go ahead, that's what this thread is for

>>717687
No idea on the trans guy dicks, but surgery results for vagina is pretty good (dependent on the surgeon of course) and usually include sensation and ability to orgasm. A lot of the time you need some extra lube though
>>
>>717687
You won't find anyone who's done SRS on /lgbt/. They're no longer "traps" because they've corrected themselves. So good luck getting an answer there
>>
>>717523

>How real is the dysphoria?

depends from person to person. for someone like me with more mild dysphoria my ~triggers~ aren't caused by other people very often.

>>717687

depends on the surgery done. most self-lubricating vaginas smell weird from what i understand because of the organs they use to create it, but non-lubricating ones are obviously somewhat dry. if you pre-cum a lot prior to SRS you'll be more wet though.

That was actually a question I had, how do you traps deal that piece anyways, at least the ones that decide to keep it. Do you just forget about it? Would you prefer it to be ignored by the other person (I guess you kind of already answered that question). Sorry if I seem brash but I'm genuinely curious and it's hard to ever get a serious answer because as someone else as said the only real time the topic is ever touched upon is in adult entertainment.
>>
>>717750
I'd get rid of it if there was SRS that actually gave me a real vagina instead of an inverted dick. It's really hard to ignore because it stops you from doing normal cis girl things like wear a bikini etc. Clothes can be hard to buy and parties are dangerous to go to.
I can't avoid my dick and my bf doesn't mind it but I'd rather have a proper piece
>>
>>717750
It's different for everybody. Most transpeople don't want other people to touch their junk, but some people are okay with using it and fucking people with it.

We are inherently wired to recieve sexual pleasure from it, so even if we don't like having a penis, when it comes to sex we may get into it and start using it.

I personally touch it all the time and masturbate with it like crazy. However, if someone touches it during sex I get uncomfortable. I've had people blow me and i've had people jerk me off and it was awful. I'm completely fine with doing it to myself though.

Like I said, it differs to everyone.
>>
>>717750
I really don't mind it, so I'm fine using it for sex and all that. When I was with another trans woman it helped that I liked my dick since it meant we could do anything penetrative at all (she hated hers)

Really it varies depending on the person
>>
>>717463 (OP)
What in the fuck is a NORP?

That sounds related to a Grue.
>>
>>717776
oh right, reminds me. Even though I like my dick I can't stand blowjobs, it just feels weird and I can't get into it at all
>>
>>717750
Eh, questions over the internet on 4chan with anonymity make these questions easy to answer.

Deciding to keep it doesn't really factor in, most of the time you'll have at least a couple of years where you have no choice. Can't say how post-op differs as i'm not there yet, but i've just stopped thinking about it, like i'm not someone who tries to refer to it as a clit or whatever, but i don't usually think about my genitals, so i never really think about having a penis either. Makes it a bit easier, i mean i still can't stand properly using it, but y'know, it's just there.
Due to uni my relationship is LDR at the moment, last time i saw my girlfriend, she forgot i was pre op and was surprised by the fact it was there. So i don't really need to ask her to ignore something she easily forgets exists.
>>
>>717463 (OP)
NORP? Here? You derailed your thread from the very beginning, OP :)

Seriously...
>How different is life in a different body?

Not sure you get it. I'm not T, but B with dear T friends. Under the impression they don't really think in terms of "different body". Adjusted, harmonized, tuned-in-with-mind body, rather.

So this is my question. Do you really feel "in a different body" as OP implies?
>>
>>717796
>Do you really feel "in a different body" as OP implies?

not really, it's different, improved. If anything I feel my consciousness, my 'self' is different.
>>
>>717796
I feel like my body is wrong and I want to fix it. After I transition it'll still be the same body but just how I want it to be
>>
>>717787
Normal Ordinary Respectable Person. Same as Cis, but an older term and used for a more broad range of things.
>>717796
In my question I didn't care about the mentality, I meant a physically different looking and feeling(?) body from the former one, after hormones, surgery and such. Should I have used the word "right" or "improved" as >>717809
said, instead?
>>
>>717828
>In my question I didn't care about the mentality,
Ohhh... Nice... Anyway. In your question, you talked about feeling "in a different body", period. Don't try to work around that.

Now let them answer this question, please. Only them can really do. Don't change the rules.

>Privilege
Life is unfair get the fuck over it
>>717523
I don't know if you mean full on PTSD triggers but there are some things that can make me upset for instance coming out as trans then my dad asking me if I want to watch a movie about a boy who becomes A MAN emphasizing it.

>How different is life in a different body?
I don't really believe I am a woman trapped in a mans body, I just have a feminized brain that conflicts with developing masculine features.
Then again I am G3 transsexual not G1
>>
>>717909
Saying you are a women trapped in a mans body vs saying things similar to what you said are pretty much just different ways of wording it
>>
>>717916
I'd say its closer to not male than female, I can't really identify as female right now because I have never lived as one

This. I would love to be in lesbians with a girl but it's much easier to be dominated by a guy

I don't like to use the word "trap" for myself. I don't think my birth designation is something that I'm trapping people into.

>>717523
>dysphoria
It depends on the person. For me it makes my breasts feel like foreign bodies. I usually refer to them as "the chest parasites." It's to the point where I've considered sawing them off.
>triggers
Again, depends on the person. For me, sometimes little things set me off and sometimes they don't.
>feeling bad or PTSD
Again, depends on the person. It's not usually one incident that does it, but I'm a chronic depressive so I can get "triggered" into something pretty damn dangerous.
>>
>>717950
Did I say something wrong. I meant it was a negative stereotype.
>>
>>718023
>I don't think my birth designation is something that I'm trapping people into.
If you aren't what you look like, you've tricked them.

Good SRS vaginas work and look like normal ones, they just need some lube.
There are two types of FtM surgeries actually:
>Metoidoplasty
They basically move your clit out of your body to make it bigger and extend the urethra and put it through it. It looks pretty close to a micropenis, you can pee with it and it can get hard naturally but it's not usable for penetration. Normal feels.
>Phalloplasty
They make a dick out of arm skin and shit.
Looks less realistic, normal size, usable for penetration. Can't get hard on it's own, you usually have rods or pumps inserted, for example you can have a pump in one of your balls and would have to squeeze it to make the dick hard. Feels vary, but they're usually not very good.
>>
Trans guys: are you offended or upset if a guy wants vaginal sex?

And when she doesn't? You can telepathically check someone's genitals you know.
>>
>>721289
Personally I don't give a shit. Don't really have downstairs dysphoria, be off-putting if they thought of me as a girl, but if they just thought "eh a hole's a hole" it's all good.
>>
>>719124
How have I tricked them, though? By making them believe I have a dick? That's still not really a trap. It's not any more a trap than not telling someone that you have male pattern baldness or something
>>
>>717563
I'm short, 5'6 and I don't feel that way.
>>
Can I be a chaser if I want absolutely nothing to do with your dick? I love the feminine but I hate the penis, I only like mine.
>>
Several Qs and I appreciate your answers.

(1) Where I am (in the country), gay guys are being accepted but I think trans people would encounter more bigotry. Do you think this is because many people struggle to break the exclusive male/female states of being? Do you think these people somehow feel that trans people are 'cheating' or being 'dishonest' by assuming the reverse gender?

(2) I know some trans grills from when I lived in the city. They are beautiful (I'm a bi guy who appreciates androgyny) but although they would pass 95-98% of the time, they do get clocked occasionally. No biggie. But do you think this is the reason why chasers get such a bad rap -- they realise that all except a very few trans people get clocked or don't want to go stealth and then freak out and bail before everyone finds out their 'dirty secret'?

(3) Let's talk economic and emotional difficulties. This does not affect all trans people, but a much higher percentage than cisfolk. I've never tried anything with my trans friends because I see how guys treat them and I don't want to be part of the problem. They're great as friends but I couldn't deal with the nihilism and drama on a daily basis - it would be too much and I have my own shit to sort out, without taking on someone else's. Do people realise this? That it's difficult for even stable guys to have a relationship with someone with a low sex drive, no money, mood swings and little interest in anything outside of themselves and their transition? Put it this way: would you date a guy with these qualities?
>>
so how does one indicate they're not opposed to dating a tranny, without being seen as a tranny-chasing fetishist?

I'm attracted to the female form, but wouldn't be too bothered about what's down there.
