what is the most effective option these days in .303 for antipersonell use?

i know the Mk7 surplus rounds with the paper/cork in them is supposed to tumble well, but its impossible to find.

Does anybody sell a loading with an A-MAX bullet? or are soft points the way to go?

tl;ndr you have to shoot someone with your old Milsurp gun, what is the nastiest sstuff out there?

yes, there is not of really any surplus left being sold.
unfortunately, 303brit isn't a great caliber to reload, due to generous head spacing, cases spit at the base and can get stuck if you reload them too much.
I has to get a replacement bolt face, to allow me to reload brass more than 2+3 times.
be sure to inspect for cracks on the case near the rim 3/8" above on mine. I would use a paperclip to see if I could feel a ridge in the inside just above the base on the inside, that was a dead giveaway, they got thrown out, you never realize how hard it is to get a stuck case out without the correct tool.

To reload, try fireforming new cases with an o-ring on the case between the rim and chamber, then neck size only. Those cases are essentially headspaced on the shoulder, and you avoid the stress of reforming the shoulder so you should get pretty good life out of the case.

Hey /k/

I was walking my dog today when a neighbor's dog got out of the house and began to charge my dog. I have a small maltese and he was so destressed that he was able to slip out of his collar and ran all the way around the block at full speed, back to my house. When I finally got back he was waiting outside. The other dog gave up chasing him after a shot time.

What is the easiest way to defend yourself from an attacking dog? When can I legally use force to defend myself or my dog from an attacking dog?

I would rather use pepper spray than start shooting the dog. I was thinking of bear spray, but I don't want something that will seriously harm the other dog. A stun gun or batton or something along those lines is a possibility too.

you can use force against an attacking dog when it actually attacks you or your property. pre-emptive force is also acceptable, but not to the same extent damage wise. as for easiest way to defend yourself? fuck i dont know. most dogs will not bite you have a firm grip on one of their mandibles, but thats a last chance thing.

There aren't too many drills that require you to shoot ten rounds then do an awkward as fuck reload to a LAR.

Most of the time people will sideline the LARs for 5 rounders.

Should I take apart and clean it of excess oils or other? The fore end wobbles left to right, basically it's not solid rigid stiff, normal? Safety kinda hard to push forward, normal?

Yes, many a 590 owner attempted to put a factory Mossberg heat shield on to find out it doesn't fit due to the thicker barrel. All the aftermarket ones I've seen are total crap.
On the good side in my case, the 500 ZMB has the thinner barrel and the Mossberg heat shield fit perfectly.

If I'm honest, the plastic spaces for various sized tubes were incredibly hard plastic and uncuttable with an xacto blade. I had to make it work like I said with other pieces of plastic and electrical tape.

Its solid enough for me to pick the gun up by the light mount without any sign of weakness.

Its a solid buy and I don't have any regrets about mounting it.

It was proven way back in WWII that a soldier can only take about 1 year's worth of combat duty before mental illness starts to kick in.
With soldiers getting 3-4 tours of duty, its no wonder many are coming back depressed, suicidal, even murderous.

The real problem is Washington, which likes to start wars but never has a plan to end them. I can understand that rich people's overseas investments need to be protected but not at the expense of our soldiers.

yeah my father was in a communication regiment, i forgot which one, 700 something, he was there for quite a few years and he eventually got used to it but it was bad at first. My mother enlisted with him when they met and she couldn't stand the gas chamber at all. She couldn't stand anything military related actually, she wasn't cut out for it.
