To call him an expert in survival is a pretty big stretch. A couple weeks of SERE training and mountain climbing experience doesn't qualify you to tell people how to survive in a life or death situation. Every now and then he says something sensible but if you act like Bear Grylls when your life is on the line against nature you will die quickly and horribly.

I remember one time when I was watching that shit show, he walks up to a swamp where there are several gators. Rather than saying "alright, these gators are dangerous and may kill you" (which is what les stroud would do) he jumps right in and wrestles them...
