I got as far as buying Winchester Super Target loads, and then something popped up. So, in short, no. But I did however try to start on the thermite slug. Problem is that the Thermite wouldn't bond into a strong enough cake to insert into the shot wad. It would just crumble into a million pieces.

The slug would've been thermite bonded with paraffin with a small hole filled with a layer of powdered magnesium and then a layer of reacted (made) tannerite. And I've decided not to use my poor Ithaca and go with a 4 Winds type deal so if it destroys the barrel, I'm only out $5 for iron piping.

Set the timer to 10 seconds, gives me plenty of time to get it where I want it and line the sights up.

Also setting it to macro and forcing the focus onto the front sight to get that in focus.

The stock was busted, so I got it for cheap and put a hunting stock and leupold mounts on it.

Mausers make great hunting rifles, and 30-06 is a fun and great caliber.
