Sorry. It is best to remain out of this - the people will solve this for themselves. You'll see.
There is too much animosity for the US in the area, and a lot of the supporters of these dictators already think their country's citizens are motivated from the US 'evil empire' - not that they're treating their people like shit.
It is best to just stay out and not add fuel to the fire.
Here is an interesting article: 'Top Sunni cleric says army should kill Kadhafi'
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110221/wl_mideast_afp/libyapoliticsunrestfatwa_20110221212046
There has already been threats to stop oil shipments in parts of Libya until Gadhafi leaves. Notice oil went up 9% today. The more Libya's economy goes to shit, the more people will rise up. Gadhafi has too many internal enemies, and there is no need for US planes to help take him out.

    Eh.
The US also subsidizes our farmers to not grow while half the world starves - food that should be cheap on the free market and land in the mouths of those individuals.
I've had friends who were in the peace core. Hate to break it to ya, but a lot of that food aid the gov. just hands out, it goes right into corrupt officials hands, which in turn gives them more power.
The food aid has also had a negative effect on Africa as Africans have not been able to create a real economy, and instead just rely on handouts.

Everything you just said is wrong, and you are very stupid.

    1) Dirt farming is a myth. Serious subsidy money is to grow useful crops, rather then just trying to plant whatever had a good price last year because most farmers are pretty myopic and on their own do an awful job of regulating the food market.

    2) USAID isn't perfect, and the old system could often reinforce a bad status quo. The policy has been for years to buy food locally for aid programs, so those Africans you mentioned? If any local farmers could produce the food the US will buy it from them to hand out.

    3) Africa's problems are not the fault of USAID and USAID handouts normally go to places that are either deeply fucked up and full of people that would otherwise starve or to places where local agriculture is temporary fucked badly enough that local food production can't keep up.

You've heard some stupid stories about how US food aid works and you think your an expert. Nobody with any familiarity of the subject would suggest that USAID is a -bad thing-. Just like nobody should suggest it's perfect or couldn't be improved.

    Egypt wasn't really in "upheaval".

Their country's government has been guaranteed and controlled by the military ever since Nasser created it. Mubarak wanted to hand over power to his son, who was not in and had never been in the military. If anything it was Mubarak that was trying to "revolt" against the current government.

Also that military is barely capable of defending its own borders, let alone go next door and start kicking ass.

    He's giving another speech.

4.15pm: He is saying the rebels "mean nothing" – they are insignificantly small in number and just imitating Tunisians and Egyptians.

Tomorrow hope lies with the Libyan people and with security.

Tomorrow – follow them, get out of your homes, chase them, he says. Do you want Benghazi to be destroyed, cut off from water? These rats can reach the oil fields and blow them up, he says.

He says he built Benghazi block by block, is still building it, and "they" have come to destroy it.
