I recently found out who this guy is when i randomly watched his youtube channel.Despite the millions of things wrong with him .Phil is a funny character at least.I cant hate what i laugh so hard at.

You know he punked out of a match with Ashida Kim? Then of course he put up a video on Youtube claiming to have won.

Two things...

First "ashida kim" is just 100% bs and sells the whole ninja image to make money.

Second the fight never happened because Phil refused to pay to fly himself to Kim to fiught and Kim refused to fly to him. Phil was a bit of an ass claiming he won (by default)

I've talked to Phil a few times. Hes actually a fairly nice guy, but he understands in this market you have to act like this to sell stuff. His marketing is working even though it makes him seem like a punk.

I've never trained with Phil and to be honest I have only watched a few of his videos (I typically don;t spend much time watching tactical training videos) so as for if he knows his shit...I've no idea.

I've just found from my dealings with him that he is a lot less abrasive than he seems online.

Personally this is my take on him... He started off as a mall ninja. Started following other mall ninja teachers (ashida kim), then grew up and realized these people are full of shit...but you can make money off of it. So evolved from a mall ninja into a mall ninja online instructor.

I may be way off though.

As I said...he seems like a nice guy when off cam....I just think he realizes there are always legions of idiots just dying to buy into this stuff and if he isn't making money off of it then someone else will be.

I've had the fortune of meeting some pretty damned impressive people that have done some pretty damned impressive things in war. None of them act like these "experts" online and most of them do not even talk about their situations. Hell I was close to 20 before I even knew my grandpa had a long list of medals from ww2.
