Depends on where you're working. But mostly observing and reporting type shit. A good agency will do fire/bomb evacuation stuff, first aid, etc.

Security jobs here in South Texas are fucking lame. $7.55 to $9.00 is the most I've seen. Sucks ass they're paying such a shitty low wage while you're protecting potentially a million dollar investment.

When I did construction, we had a security company that had a trailer on site where the guard would live on site. Just another sucker being paid minimum. He would actually let the spics come in at night and steal hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of material. So not only were we paying thousands in security costs, but we were also losing thousands. It was horseshit. Bunch of fuck ups, homeless nigras and just ONE good white guy.

I work for a security company and most of my work consists of staring at locked doors at the convention center or staring at retards at a concert. Don't expect anything, just go with the flow and remember you're getting paid by the hour to do nothing.

It all depends on where you work and what you're allowed to carry. I guard an abandoned court house, which boils down to staring at an empty parking lot for 8 hours, and I'm not allowed to carry any weapons. 20" Maglights, however do not count as weapons...

Lets see, I work in an office. Sometimes I go out and visit clients. I make enough that money is not an issue, I am saving more than enough and still able to buy all the shit I want. I have an education from a major university, not one of those for profit diploma mills like DeVry. I own a home, actually mortgage free, that's a really nice feeling.

Everything depends on where you are working as a security officer at, or whether its day shift or night shift. Day shift is probably more fun because you get to do more shit but it will get old. Night shit is not as interesting and gets really boring. Thats what I did. You might not be able to get away with doing homework if you're working day shift though.
