05/04/10(Tue)18:13 No.5932403>>5932289 The formal
demands are: Swedish citizenship Suitable for the work (maturity
and being law-abiding) Be at least 20 years of age. Drivers
license At least normal physical ability, not have any kind of
disability. Be able to swim. Not have any major eyeproblems. Be
able to see colors. Perfect hearing. Being qualified for
university. And done something called the "högskoleprovet", its like a
test for applying for the Uni.
I am 28 years. Done the military
service when I was 18 (we have conscription here), worked my whole life
after high school apart from 2 years when I studied sociology on uni.
The
application process looks like this: First you send in an
application with your CV, along with a personal letter describing
yourself and your life. If you meet the basic requirements you are
summoned for a basic swedish test and shorter interview, after a month
or two they summon about 40 % of the applicants which seem fit to
physical tests. Coopers and Harres test along carrying a doll. After
1-2 months (again) they summon even less people for the last tests.
Where you get 1 hour with a psychiatrist, one hour with two cops who
roast you, being examined by a doctor and doing a strength test and then
a theoretical test, very similar to the one the military gives. After
that you have to wait and they take out 300 of the 7000 applicants.
(Different numbers now though).During this whole process the ones
running the tests will monitor your behaviour and attitude. |
