Maximum 6 hunting firearms. Anything more than that and you need a valid reason (e.g. license hunter for dangerous or injured animals).

System weapons are unlimited though so you can buy a Blaser R93 and own a barrel+bolt in every calibre available, a Cz 455 with all three barrels and a combination gun with a O/U shotgun barrel, shotgun and rifle barrel or O/U rifle barrel, all in different calibre combinations, and have them count as three firearms.

Sporting/competition firearms are unlimited though, but you apply for every single purchase you do, so if the fuzz don't think you need more then you might have a hard time getting more. You could easily have a Glock 17 and a Cz 75 for the same competition branch, though. Or an AR-15 and an AUG A3 for the same thing. It depends on your local police.

And you can buy any bolt action .308 Win approved for hunting.

We do have collectors licenses, but you need to be recommended by a certified collector to meet up on their meetings (a couple a year) and then wait a year or two for your license. You can't shoot (or buy ammo) for your collecting firearms outside of approved (applied for and approved) events.

Pic related. It's a 1952 Hungarian, in pretty good condition. Rifling is very good, crown is mint. Some patina and beginning rust on the mag but it doesn't really matter as long as I keep it from going further. It adds some character.

I don't like Krags. They've only got one locking lug, so you have to use reduced loads. _All_ 6,5x55 is 6,5mm Mauser, not 6,5mm Krag Jørgensen, so you have to be really careful or you'll be the range unicorn. Norma produces Norma Rekrutt which is the only load you can safely use without slowly destroying the bolt.

Shooting regular 6,5x55 in a Krag makes it go kB!, so there is definitely a difference. The old military ammo, both Swedish and Norwegian, was very similar, but nowadays as Krags are pretty much obsolete, since 6,5mm now is intended for modern hunting rifles. Sakos, Tikkas or Remingtons, for example.

Think about it. Mausers have three lugs (2+1) and have a very strong receiver milled out of solid and tough steel. They can take a lot before breaking, and then they only bend, instead of cracking/splitting like a Mosin Nagant or Krag would. Krags are much structurally weaker.

Let's not turn this into a 6,5mm debate, though, as I personally cannot stand the round and don't really care for it more than what I have to if I'm to go into DFS sometime.

Norway never used them with scopes, so the only ones with drilled and tapped (or with the mount(ed scope)) are German ones in 8mm IS.

We didn't really destroy them, most of them ended up on the civilian market. Pretty much every firearm enthusiast in the age range 40-90 have at least one K98kF1.

Not sure how much an Zf-41 would go for, but a guy I know that is a certified collector owns a bunch of Mausers (around 15) in different variations.
