    Hey /k/, why did no one help Chechnya?

    I don't mean as in help them gain independence from Russia, that was their own job and decision.

    I mean when the Russia military started indiscriminately killing Russian/Georgian/Chechen peoples, similar to in Afghanistan.

    Did no one intervene because its Russia and every one want to try and be friends? Was the war just too gruesome and jumbled up for foreign governments to make a clear distinction and to draw a line?

    I know that radical terrorist actions taken by Islamic Chechen extremists offset a lot of people for their cause, but in some defense those attacks were claimed as cries to end the war when Russia would not.

    The fighting may be over but the people of the Balkans/Caucasus are still exploited.
