    Can we have a Canadian gun laws hate thread?

    The M&P 15-22 is a restricted rifle because it looks too much like an AR-15, which is also a restricted rifle.

    The Vz. 58 is a non-restricted rifle, while the rifle it carbon copies it's looks from, the Kalashnikov, is a prohibited rifle.

    The ISSC MK22 is a non-restricted rifle, while the rifle it carbon copies its looks from, the SCAR, is a prohibited rifle.

    Canada, if you're going to make the M&P 15-22 a restricted rifle because it looks scary, then why are both the Vz. 58 and the ISSC MK22 non-restricted rifles? They both accurately mimic the looks of other firearms that are prohibited in Canada, yet they're okay? Whats with the hate on the AR-15?

    According to the Criminal Code, a restricted firearm is:

    * a handgun that is not a prohibited firearm;
    * a semi-automatic, centre-fire rifle or shotgun with a barrel length less than 470 mm (18.5 inches) that is not prohibited;
    * a rifle or shotgun that can fire when its overall length is reduced by folding, telescoping or some other means to less than 660 mm (26 inches);
    * any firearm prescribed as restricted (including some long guns).

    Actually, despite being a bolt-action rifle, the Enfield is specifically singled-out in the legislation to not have a magazine capacity limit. It's like they didn't even read their own legislation...

    And yes, you CAN own "Restricted" firearms, you just can't bring 'em inna woods because you need to ask for an ATT (Authorization To Transport) and they won't issue one for anything other than a certified range, gunsmith or the like, making them strictly range-toys.

    RPG-7 and WW2 bazookas are also non-restricted in Canada. You cannot own high explosive weapons though, so you are stuck with inert training rockets. (Mr Wolverine has a pic of his girls holding the bazooka).

    There is also an M203 40mm grenade launcher for sale on CGN at the moment, but the guy wants like $10,000 because they are so rare in Canada... all that to fire smoke or chalk rounds (or maybe flares).

    Mr Wolverine also has that 37mm bofors anti-tank gun but he is looking for some parts for it. I don't think he has fired it yet. I believe it is also non-restricted.

    My American friends just dont get it when I tell them how fucked up native reserves are here in canada
    the best explanation by far is this
    Imagine some one broke up Somalia into hundreds of little parts then teleported them into random parts of the continental US, the government the proceeded to throw money at them like its their fucking job and told the rest of the nation to fucking deal with it.
    reserves are like a 3rd world country unto themselves complete with fucking AK's weilding psychos and their primary export is meth and criminals.
    thats what native reserves are like up here in Canada.

    There are alot of productive reserves, they do there thing and don't ask for hand outs. Maybe not the nicest places on earth by they make do and I do respect that

    There are other bat shit crazy ones. The ones that ask for hand outs constantly, alcoholism is rampit and there are no jobs every one just scrapes by living on land. Violence and murders are common and there are no white oppressors telling them what to do.

    Frankly I really don't give a shit about the natives they want political anatomy, fine. But dont ask for money either, your on your own.

    Yep Natives can use their native card as a get out of jail free card so they get pulled over after a 5 hour car chase while drunk driving and after they crash into a tree they show their native card and say to the rcmp officer we aren't the drunk Indians you are looking for. And after a nice taxi ride in the back of the officer's patrol car they are at home back on the reserve.

    So my cousin's friend lives in Caledonia basically his neighborhood was cut off by natives(burning tire roadblock with the provincial police there but they did nothing because of spineless political) and if he didn't OC a norinco m14 on his property they probably would have kicked the shit out of his family and looted their house. And this shit is ignored by everyone including the media and politians. im Metis but natives are so fucked up its not even funny its only so much different because they are all drunks/ high and in the middle of nowhere living off of welfare so we dont have to deal with them in urban areas like america does with redguards.

    And then you have the corrupt indian chiefs, if you go onto most reserves there are a bunch of shity shacks that probably have mold, no plumbing maybe some electricity than you will have a little mansion owned and paid for by the cheif who is given money for everyone for their well being and he turns around and uses the money for himself so he can live like a king.

    nope and the funny thing is that they all have advance placement in a lot of shit like affirmative action but lol no natives are successful in that way. Metis on the other hand have done much better infact a former prime minster paul martin was metis not to menation a number of other people who are metis that have done welll fr themselves. However the indian in these people is barely recognizable and they are identical to European descendant citizens of canada minus the fact they have a legal claim to be considered metis.

    >Car is stolen in America?

    It is taken to a chop shop, or it is used by criminals for a task and then disposed of.

    >Car is stolen in Canada?

    Natives (likely 13 years old) drive the stolen car until it breaks and then set it on fire. Then they walk back home and set a garbage bin on fire along the way. Crime is committed without the potential for financial gain, it is done for the sake of doing it.

    >Narcotics in America

    Everything from designer drugs to heroin, uppers, downers, purple drank... They all have a purpose.

    >Narcotics in Canada:

    A group of natives steal a can of gold paint from the local hardware store and fuck themselves up on the toxic vapor. Back before powdered toner existed they stole photocopier fluid because they heard it had alcohol in it.

    The result? Dangerously fucked up people wandering aimlessly in downtown Saskatoon splattered with gold paint (the "midas touch", as the locals call it).
