BUT,
abuse of that power should have consequences, harsh consequences. Which
they simply do not have. Police departments fucking shield every one of
their own, from everything, essentially letting them do whatever they
want. Cases of brutality end with the individual taking a few classes,
and a week or two of suspension during the trial.
Officers of the
law need to know, that their purpose is to bring justice (not order,
not peace, but justice). And overreacting to a situation (even if its to
seemingly protect their life, be prepared for anything), is just an
abuse of power, and is punishable. Thats a sacrifice they have to make
when they join the force.
Sorry about the weird capitalizing,
i wanted to emphasize some stuff. And ill be honest, i do want to be a
police officer. But there are some things i will, and will not do. I
would have to choose carefully what locale id want to be in, because
most would cause me to quite in a month. It probably wont work out
anyway. I just think that no one has the right to mess with another
person (from direct assault/murder, to stealing, arson, etc). I could
care less about all the drug shit and what not |
