Well to use an example, I once asked a mod to ban a certain avatarfag because he was shitposting and ban evading. The mod asked for proof, I gave him the easymodo link.

That's why I tried, I figured the backend was unaware of BBCode and would let it pass into the DB as it was. But if you try to use [banned][/banned] tags posting on the ghost board it flat out stops you, so I'm guessing the backend is smart enough to escape it or something.
