Even as a NEET, always brush your teeth Anon.

The thing about brushing my teeth though is that it's too much of a chore to do. With the late nights and waking up near evening, I just have no 'time' to fix brushing my teeth in my life at all.

...Well, that was all in the past, but it still happens in my daily depressed no life all the time. Now I just brush them once a day (some days not at all because I forget when I'm on here).

I brush and floss multiple times each day and yet it's always orange between my teeth. No amount of flossing seems to get rid of it. On another note, I've been spending an hour each day on skin care for over a year, and yet I still get hideous white heads. Additionally, I get 10-12 hours of sleep each night and yet I have extremely baggy, bloodshot eyes with visible veins inside of the bags. I guess I'm just meant to look like I a creep who lacks basic hygiene, no matter what.

OP again, I just drank half a bottle coke.
    >> Anonymous 03/06/12(Tue)16:47 No.8666177
My teeth are one hell of a mess, probably amplified by how much coke I drink (easily at least 4 cans worth a day) and how little I brush (once ever 4-7 days). For a starter, they're all yellow. Not a single one of them is actually white. My bottom front four teeth also have some of this on both the front and back - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calculus_%28dental%29 -, although not as bad as that wikipedia picture. The major problem with my teeth though is receding gums. I've always brushed really hard, which was fine as my mom's always coincidentally bought soft toothbrushes. One day she replaced mine and didn't tell me it was really hard, so I practically shredded most of my gums enough that I can feel the roots. I can even see the roots on my bottom front teeth.

I've not been to a dentist since I was about 6 or something. I couldn't possibly go now even if I had perfect teeth.
    >> Anonymous 03/06/12(Tue)16:48 No.8666178
Saddens me to see this, my dad didn't go to the dentist untill he was in his early teens. Despite of this, he had so many problems with his teeths that it still haunts him to this date. It costs him a fortune in the year just to keep them. So seriously, just take your time to brush them twice a day, your teeth are really fragile.

I have no idea how you even book an appointment, so I'd need to ask my mom, something I'd rather not do. I also don't know where this dentist is, and even if I did, I can't drive and haven't been on a bus in year (which I wouldn't be able to handle anyway due to anxiety). Then there's the actual dentist... I couldn't take such personal contact up close alone with someone I don't know.

To summarise, I'd need to ask my mom a favor to book the appointment and drive me there. I'm already asking her enough favors as it is being a worthless NEET who's never worked a day in his life. My ass would collapse from panic the second I go through the door. Hell, it would collapse just telling my mom about it. It's basically impossible.

Meh, parents generally don't mind looking out for their kid's health. The real issue being that your teeth could deteriorate to the point where you have to get serious work done or suffer constant pain and it's easier for everyone if you can stop it before it gets there.

I brush once a day and I've never had any problems with my teeth ever - Nothing removed, no fillings, no braces and wisdom teeth are all straight and perfect. I go for a checkup once every 9 months (it used to be 6 but the dentist told me there was no point coming so often with my record) because it's free for neets in my country and cheap if I happen to have a job at the time.

I think my allocation of good genes all went towards my teeth. I would be happier if they had gone elsewhere

One of my teeth was pretty much rotten through, so it was cleaned by a dentist and the hollow shell was filled.

But the entire side split off few months ago and is now loose, so I can't really use this side of my mouth to chew.

And a couple days ago a third of one tooth on the other side of my mouth just broke off. It hurt my gums and now they're bleeding even more than usual.

Listen to the OP, brush your teeths anons. I too underwent a root canal op for just one tooth, it was horrible. The entire procedure was painful as fuck especially when that fuck was trying to figure out which tooth needed to get worked on.

Didn't get a crown fit though as it was expensive as fuck and my job insurance didn't cover that procedure. Dentist said it would probably last for the rest of my life, as long as I don't bite hard stuff with that tooth and crack it.

protip look out for pimples of pus on your gums. If you have them...man up and go find your dentist.

The entire procedure is basically this.

To explain further the tooth is dead on the inside, root and tissues are rotten forming that green pool of crap at one of the roots.

Tooth gets drilled out, and motherfucker goes in there and scraps out all the dead rotting crap with a small hand drill, note even though your tooth is technically dead you will still feel some sensations as some nerve endings are probably still alive in there. Ranging from tingling to ohmygodfuckyouwhatareyoudoinginthere.

However the real uncomfortable shit is when the dentist is trying to pinpoint which tooth to drill out, remember that pimple pus? This is where that asshole comes in.

That green cesspit forming at one of the roots of your teeth sometimes surfaces on your gums as that pimple of pus, so the dentist sticks this flexible toothpick in that shit and pushes it all the way in following the route of the pus flow to the root of the guilty tooth. Once that's done the drilling starts proper.

    Enjoy your world of pain.

I lived most of my life up until 18 y/o not giving my teeth proper care. Then I ended up having dental problems so bad that for one of my teeth, any longer before getting a filling would have required a root canal without question. That basically scared me shitless, so after that day I willed myself to stop drinking soda/any carbonated drink really, as well as brushing flossing and using mouth rinse at least once a day. It's been about 3 years now, nearing my 21st birthday, and the only problem I've had was a chip in one of my previous big fillings that had to get fixed. Don't let yourself get to my situation /jp/, keep your teeth in good shape.

I think I'm in luck. The dentist's medicine seems to have worked immediately and the godawful aches stopped.
I pray it will remain calm until I see him again in 5 weeks. If not, I guess that I will eat them Ibuprofen.

I brushed my teeth at least twice a day and more if I was eating shit that stuck to my teeth my whole life.

All of a sudden my teeth started to crack, chip, stain and decay. I've had a few root canals now. I've got an ugly fucking brown stain on one of my molars. I don't fucking smile with my mouth open and I doubt I ever will.

I feel like maybe I've been exposed to radiation or there's something bad in the water where I live. I did move right before my teeth started to go bad.

You're suppose to floss too and keep your mouth hydrated.

You could be grinding your teeth in your sleep. The human body hates itself and will try to fuck with you when you aren't conscious.

A mouthguard negates this, but good luck getting proper medical ones cheaply in the US

Oh my, that would be absolutely wonderful, especially if the dentist is a gentle but slightly sadistic elder sister. Imagine a simple dental filling, for example - you'd be so close to her that she'd be able to read your every expression yet speaking would be impossible and you'd be under her complete control, so her dental drill would freely go in and outside your mouth and violate the previous sanctity of your teeth as she cleans the cavity with a lewd smile, until she reaches her limit and fills your teeth with her thick, white resin - forever marking your body as hers. And when she'd finished, she'd lean against you and thank you for keeping her company, her large breasts pressing tightly against your body and her cute, youthful face inches away from yours, but when you try to react, she'd merely tease you for being a pervert who lusts after his blood-related sister and leave, trying to hide her own blushing face and the wet spot on her skirt.

Of course, you'd later find her masturbating in her own room with dozens of photos depicting nothing but her own little brother's open mouth and fearful face as she looms over him with a drill, the high-pitched whine of another dental drill masking her cute moans as she thrusts the backside of a dentist's mirror inside herself (being a proper dental fetishist, she'd keep a full set of spare equipment at home for practice and personal use.) This'd be your cue to hug her from behind and tell her that you'll love her no matter what her preferences are, though you'd regret it a bit when you find yourself strapped on your sister's bed, the pleasure brought by the warm touch of her naked body and her recently deflowered maidenhood clamping on your penis offset by the fact that she's staring at your open mouth with her favorite drill and no anesthetic at hand, wondering out loud whether you do need root canal treatment after all.

I'm not sure if doctor/nurse fantasies work the same for dentists. Dem drills...dem fucking drills.

My male dentist stuffing his manly, strong hands in my mouth is what made me realize I'm bi, you know.

I think dentist fantasies work perfectly fine.
    >> Anonymous 03/06/12(Tue)19:51 No.8667165
    >>8667115
But drills are their main appeal. For doctor/nurse fetishists it's essentially "I am going to fuck you under the pretense of curing you". For dentists I think it's more like "I am going to drill holes into your teeth under this intensely shrill, mind-wrecking drill-sound right out of Lovecraftian stories under the pretense of fucking you."

It's like toothbrushing fetish except better.

Not something I've done, but I thought I'd share anyway. My dad recently used epoxy glue(fast hardening glue that seals pipes etc) on his teeth in an attempt to fix it with a mold. The instructions lists that it is highly toxic and you should not get it in contact with your skin or breathe in the strong fumes it emits. The room smells so fucking horrid now(we share a room) and I could not sleep.

It blows my mind how fucking bydlo some people can be.

Holy shit, that's hilarious in the most awful way imaginable.

I can relate though, my father would rather have me forge health certificates for his work than take care of his health.

Now he's too sick to work and we last our main source of income.

Here's an easy way I make sure to always brush my teeth, I do it while in the shower, every time I take a shower
So it's not much of a pain since I like to spend a few extra minutes and relax in there anyways
Then you'll always brush your teeth once or twice a week, excellent!
    >> Anonymous 03/06/12(Tue)23:06 No.8668064
my dad had three teeth removed and now has little denture things that have fake teeth in their place. if you don't want dentures, remember to take care of your teeth.
    >> Anonymous 03/06/12(Tue)23:14 No.8668090
I brush my teeth before going to sleep or taking a nap (2+ times a day) so I don't have that awful taste in my mouth when I wake up. I also recently discovered floss picks.
Too bad I didn't start doing that before I was ~18, because my gums have already receded to shit. Probably going to need more fake teeth before I'm 35.
    >> Anonymous 03/06/12(Tue)23:32 No.8668191
I brush my teeth everyday and floss twice a week. I like the feeling of a fresh mouth.

I didn't brush at all from around 10-14 and my teeth still haven't recovered.
    >> Anonymous 03/06/12(Tue)23:38 No.8668210
Mine are stained brown since I was a kid from uncontrolled fluoride in the water of the third world. There's no point in taking care of disgusting, brown, crooked teeth.

I actually love going to the dentist, and they even extracted from me a molar tooth that was inflamed and was falling literally apart, I think since that day I've never been the same.
    PS: drills are sexy.

I used to go months without brushing my teeth, but nowadays I brush daily. I've never had a cavity (that I know of anyway; I haven't been to the dentist in probably five years since I'm a hikikomori).
