A "friend" says he gets scared while reading Umineko. Is that a joke, or was he just scared of the horrible writing?
    >> Anonymous 12/29/11(Thu)01:24 No.8307999
I dunno about him, but the ending was terrifyingly bad to me

The last part of the game was kind of scary for me. Of course it was like 5 am and I was playing in the dark. Damn music and weird laugh

The only time I got scared is the Jessica and Beato doll in EP7.

The only time I got scared was when Bern did her fighto thing.

I knew then that she was something unfathomably malevolent.

While reading Umineko, your friend has discovered that he has homosexual urges, and that frightened him. It's okay though. Soon he will be raping dickgirl maids and traps like the rest of us.

The early episodes are creepy at times, especially if you're reading late at night. Ryu07 is great at building atmosphere and the frequent usage of ambient sound like it raining/thunder/wind, etc. amplify this.
    >> Anonymous 12/30/11(Fri)07:33 No.8314340
I admit, everytime system0 was starting to play in the later parts of Episode1, it gave me shivers.

I was playing it in dark room late at night though.
Also, that one track that was all chorus, also at the end of EP1.

There were creepy moments in other parts too, but nothing really scary.

That part when Battler is trapped in Erika's closed room was the only part that I found a bit disturbing.
    Probabily justy my imagination.

That feel when I'll never play Umineko because people on /jp/ constantly say the ending is so bad that they wish they wouldn't even have bothered

    except love itself

It kinda gets scary in a story where, by the author's admission, it can get a girl to become a mass murderer.
    >> Anonymous 12/31/11(Sat)14:40 No.8323227
Shouldn't "Our Confession" if perhaps indirectly answer a lot of this?
