If
there is no physical copy or product/bundle, and the official product
has nothing over a pirated product, and may even be directly inferior to
a pirated copy due to DRM or whatever, then no sane and poor man, would
waste what he have of his disposable income on official goods through
official means. If piracy, somehow, were to be "beaten", it would
strike negatively anyway given how all the young people with disposable
income wouldn't become as hooked and or obsessed with the things due to a
lack of piracy enabling over stimulation.
Physical products are really important for this kind route to grow. |
