See, this doesn't even make sense because anime faces are quire far from real faces. In fact, they're barely even on the scale of "humanoid robot" there. You can't compare them to the human-likeness of porcelain dolls because of the huge eyes and exaggerated features (unless it's a more "mature" anime character?).
People get creeped out for some reason, but I don't think it's the uncanny valley. The uncanny valley definition is being used incorrectly, imo. That'd be like trying to say a mascot costume is uncanny valley when it's not. People get scared of those for other reasons (usually more personal).
