k /jp/, wondering if you can help me here.

I'm moving to Japan in a month, and I'm interested in buying a kindle, but I have a few questions.

1 - Is the kindle used in japan?
2 - Can I download japanese language books onto a UK kindle, and vice versa?
3 - where to I pirate Kindle books, English or Japanese, should I not want to buy or if they arn't available for kindle?

also note, I'm not exclusively looking for a "kindle", just a good ebook reader.

/lit/ does ebooks all the time you should ask them about it.

And how the fuck would /jp/ know? All /jp/ is a group of a group of hikkomoris and NEETs that dream of living in Glorious Nippon.

Use Google. All those questions can be answered from there.

Thought of that, but I put it in /jp/ more because I'm going to japan.

But yea, going to /lit/ anyway.

Anywhere but here is what he meant, we really don't know and it may surprise you but this thread is off-topic and our community frowns down on such blatant disregarding the board's subject matter.
    >> Anonymous 05/04/11(Wed)19:39 No.7307020
This is the stupidest thread I've ever seen.

    >>7307019
We lack any topic. And this thread is far better than the usual "lol any niggars in glory nihongo?" shit that always gets 145326 replies. God damn /jp/ is stupid.

FH and re-trans is still sillier than an actual Japan thread.

    >We lack any topic
It is about three years too late to start giving a shit. The best formula is stay hostile to outsiders and try to post in threads about VNs, touhou, Idols, weird fetishes/general, other doujin works, strange things that come up for no reason but are fun to discuss anyway.

Yeah that has made /jp/ such a good board.
    >> Anonymous 05/04/11(Wed)19:49 No.7307044
I don't come to /jp/ often, but it's good to see it's about as bad as, if not worse than, /a/ after the split.
    >> Anonymous 05/04/11(Wed)19:54 No.7307057
Japan does ebooks but they do a few formats than anything America uses.

There's an online converter, but the Kindle is mostly considered a novelty there. Basically just look into picking up a reader when you're in Japan, and pirate your english ebooks.

Also a better place to ask than 4chan would be 2ch.

there should be a 'different' between 'few' and 'formats'
