If anything, #2 is the first thing that needs to be followed. Lately, a lot of threads should have been ignored, but someone's always responds with a "Reported", "Get out of /jp/", etc. Just hide the thread, and move on. Sure, ignoring a problem may not not be a complete solution, but that doesn't mean we should toss more fuel to the fire.

I disagree. A daily board rules thread for the duration of summer will be beneficial in keeping new visitors cognizant of what is accepted on /jp/, and the more people who apply the rules, the more it will rub off on new visitors.

If you haven't noticed, thread quality has gone down the past few weeks as summer approaches.

Yes, we can't stop all of the trolls, but the effects of ignoring the problem and letting this place get over-run like last summer can be reduced.
