/jp/, how would you turn someone into one of us? How would you introduce them into the worlds of touhou, vn's, anime, figures etc.

    Pygma-chan.
    >> YOYOYO 05/21/10(Fri)23:23 No.5185785
First I get them to love /a/ and /v/, then recommend us saying we are a combination of both

That really depends upon the person's interest.
If they enjoy reading, start off with an Entry Level VN like Umineko or Chaos;Head.

This. Know what a person likes. Then show him something similar. Cater your suggestions to his tastes.

    I wouldn't.

To save me making a new thread, I guess my question would fit here.
Anyone got a guide for Touhou and VN's? I want to start playing, but have no idea where to start and where to get them, and if I should read any other material (manga etc.)

    >>5185856
Well, with VN's what exactly are you looking for, a love comedy, something with action, etc?
    >> Anonymous 05/21/10(Fri)23:34 No.5185883
    >>5185856
Touhou: doesn't matter that much which game you start with
VNs: just look around vndb.org and try out something that looks interesting to you

    Where to get them: google.com

Where does all of the fandom and story come from then?

    http://vndb.org/v/all?q=;ti=;te=;o=d;s=pop

Vndb link with titles sorted based on popularity with English speaking audience.

Fate/Stay Night and Saya no Uta might fit best with fa/tg/uys.

Kikokugai would probably be a decent starter VN, while it doesn't have much comedy, it's one of, if not the best action centered VN translated, and it's quite short.
After that, check out a some summaries from here and see if they sound interesting.

All of them. Pick a set of characters you like and go from there -- Scarlet Devil Mansion Cast/Eientei Cast/etc...
