Well, I guess it's no surprise though, they said in the interview somewhere that the only one who actually read the game is the japanese wife of one of the comic creators back when they started doing this abomination (it was not translated if I remember correctly), so all the info they got were secondhand information from someone who doesn't really have much of an interest seeing this succeed.

Ignoring the fact that they threw the original plot out the window, it's still not that good. It feels very rushed, and, as a result, Josh's actions seem less justified. Josh's complaints about being evil at the end of the second chapter also seem out of place.

After reading this I really wish someone would come by and make a good comic adaptation, even if it's just a fan work.

I kinda like the art actually (aside from the weird way Saya is drawn). Some of the cancervision panels are really neat looking even.

The biggest problem I see with it, when I try to ignore the fact that they completely ignored the original plot, is that the pacing is rushed, Josh seems to lack motivation for getting romantically involved with Saya, and the lol evil scientists with evil microchips bit.

They should totally do Muramasa into a western comic too.

The art was well drawn enough, managed to capture a good grimdark feel. It's pretty obvious that it's the creators' first time making a comic as in many places the panels do not flow together at all.

But holy fuck the writing. What the fuck is this shit? The story makes no fucking sense. It's almost like a "previously on..." style plot summary drawn out to fill a whole issue. So incoherent I wonder if anyone not familiar with the VN would know what the fuck was going on.

And the writing is just bad. "I killed that man! I've become evil!" WTF? Plus adding in a human antagonist, removing any of the moral ambiguity present in the original story and turning it into a generic b-movie horror plot.

I'm not even a particularly big Saya fan, but the fuck. The VN had some really impressive scenes, and this seems to have scrapped them in favor of... what exactly? You toss out good and replace it with bad intentionally? Or is the writer too incompetent to tell the difference.

I just wonder how they're planning on ending this shit.
