The
clerk glances at him and then goes back to reading his newspaper. The
man must get food and water. Because he knows what's going to happen.
And it's going to happen today. At what time, he doesn't know. He's
nervous. His eyes are looking everywhere at once. "Need some help,"
asks a girl working there, putting magazines on the magazine rack. The
man says nothing.
And then he hears something that sounds like
thunder outside, but it's not raining, and he sees no lightning. The
girl 7-11 employee looks outside. "Ah, it's going to rain." But it's
not. It's what the man knew would happen. He reaches inside of his
jacket and pulls out a handgun. The clerk sees it and yells to the
girl. The man doesn't care. He must kill the alien demons.
The
girl looks at the man with his gun and she freezes. Her eyes are wide
open. "They're here," the man says. The girl is confused. "They're
here." He points outside. There are strange clouds in the sky. They are
not clouds. They are alien demons.
The man goes outside and looks up. "It's gonna be a long day" He puts his sunglasses on. |
