    There were nationalists everywhere, which sucked. On top of that most of the restaurants wouldn't let me in because I was white "no gaijin". To make things worse the same concept applies to hotels/inns making it really hard to travel to Japan in general. It doesn't matter though since the place was boring in general. All the temples look the same, cities are boring, and to top it off the girls are pretty hideous. I'm glad I made it a 1 week trip instead of 2. I had a 10 hour layover in S.Korea and well, the 10 hours I was there was fucking amazing, which can't be said about Japan.

    Uhh, no. I went to a Mahnwa shop and read for a bit, ate some awesome food, and was treated well by the people I talked to. Their toilets had this awesome clean sink next to the toilet, and a local told me it's a face washing station. I don't know why they have a separate bowl/sink when I could have just used the regular one to wash my face.

    ITT: butthurt fags

    Studied abroad in Japan a few years ago, greatest experience of my life. People range from small-town curteous to big-city indifferent (just like any other city in the world).

    The xenophobia is overhyped, just as long as you make an earnest effort to learn the language/culture (and don't fucking gaijin-smash everything). Otherwise you'll just end up butthurt like all the rejects who think colea is better.

    Also, you should realize that prejudice against foreigners is just as "widespread" in Korea. The difference is if you go to Korea and tell everyone how much you think Japan sucks, Koreans will pretend to like you. You might get some free soju (crap compared to sake) or kimchi (crap compred to ramen/gyoza), so if that's what you want then by all means.

    The thing I will always miss in Japan isn't easy public transit, multitudes of hobby shops, all-night bars and clubs, or even the fact that most girls love wearing skirts. It's the widespread availability of great, affordable food.

    Tonkatsu, ramen, unagi, gyuudon, tempura, sukiyaki, curry, onigiri, and not to mention sushi. If you look around, you can always find a delicious, healthy, filling mood for 500 to 1000 yen.

    Also: All you can eat and drink restaurants/beer gardens. Jesus Christ, splurge 3000 yen and you can spend hours just sitting and talking with friends while eating all the sukiyaki/yakiniku/okonomiyaki/etc. and alcohol you can put down.

    Except for cars. American cars suck more than those made by the British.

    >People only adopt American things because they are better
    Biggest load of bullcrap I've ever heard. USA does have cultural effect because it produces so much media and because people usually have at least some kind of relationship with the country due immigration.

    Then again, americanisation of European culture is the worst imaginable thing that could happen. Gladly the formation of EU has prevented it for the most part.

    By the way,
    America = continent consisted of both South-America and North-America. Or alternatively Americas.
    USA = United States of America. A country in North-America.
    USA =/= America

    Nevermind what I said earlier, Canadians have a greater inferiority complex than Korea and Europe. Whenever the USA is mentioned, some Canadafag will ALWAYS say some stupid shit.

    Have fun with your failing government process.

    We don't have an empire. The only reason we are in this stupid fucking war is because of post attack rage. England is doing fine despite the fact that they should have failed after attempted to create an empire.
