I went to public school. Even our private schools don't have uniforms. Only the Catholic schools (which are also public) have uniforms. Their uniforms were just a white shirt and black pants for the guys, and for the girls a white shirt, plaid skirt and tights.

    School uniforms are outdated.
Only rich kids and backwards, overly traditional countries like the UK and Japan still use them.

    Philippines.

    Depends on the school.
Some universities have uniforms depending on the program you're in (Nursing, for example).
Some schools also have this ``wash day" where you are allowed to not wear uniform.

    Germany here.

We don't have school uniforms. People say that we were a more free country than those who have school uniforms and that our children grow up more freely.

But the truth is that all the kids who don't wear retarded brand clothes like Levis or Diesel or Van Dutch or Ed Hardy or Ralph Lauren or whatever get discriminated by the rich kids who wear these brands. So there is some kind of "brand uniform" in the schools propagated not by authorities but by pupils.

In middle school, we had to wear a uniform (6th-8th grade).
Shirts: Red, white, (royal, light, navy) blue, or khaki.
Pants: Dark blue or khaki, no jeans.
If your pants had belt loops, you had to wear a belt. Shirts were to be tucked in.
No clothing with holes in them, no open toed shoes allowed.
    Was a public school too.

Elementary kids recently had to wear school uniform. I don't think they wear one anymore.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that comment but I don't ever see everyone becoming equal. People like to lie to themselves and think that we're "advancing" as a race or something equally stupid but the truth is that we don't live long enough to learn from our mistakes.

If we were all "equal" there would be no uniqueness or variety. That's a world I never want to happen.
