10/03/11(Mon)19:15 No.4433807>>4433799 Looks kinda weird because I had to size it down in mspaint. Oh well.
  Linguistics
fag here, I did this as a proposal for one of my classes, ended up
getting rejected because it wasn't in the scope of the project,
professor liked it though. I know plenty of people complain that
linguistic similarities don't always mean cultural similarities, which
is true, but the odds of finding common ground with those who speak a
different language isn't found very often. Also, some cultural
similarities were taken into account.
  There are discernable
ethnic lines that aren't just by tribe in Africa, however, the
differences within the group are broad seeing as how they've been living
in tribalism. Within the trappings of a modern state, I think most the
borders I drew could work. As for the middle of Africa. Fuck. That place
is really nothing but tribal differences. It's all Bantu languages, but
the diversity is just so great, I put them as a gigantic UN
protectorate instead of drawing 500.000 micro-states. Relevant ethnic
groups are in parentheses, next to state names, which were mostly drawn
from historical empires. |
