Actually Polish people generally really like and admire Germany since it's "western" and "advanced", aka really cool. On the other hand they hate Russia, and this rejection of Russia directly influences the positive view they have for the strong "western" powers (which is one of the main reasons why they show such love for the United States, especially Republican administrations, even Bush, who was hated everywhere else in the world).

I think it's a little wierd though because although Communist Russia oppressed them for 45 years as well as made them work in shitty jobs and live in shitty buildings and use shitty products, Germany literally tried to EXTERMINATE all Polish people so that the country could be annexed and populated by superior Germans. Well except for those that would be enslaved, but they were to be worked to death. But Polish hatred of Russia runs very deep, largely due to the 700 year old fight over over Ukraine and Belarus between the two, and today most Polish people I have talked to view Russia as a barbarian shithole and refuse to consider them Europeans (or semingly even fully human).
