What is the situation with the Chinese in Africa and what implications does it have for the rest of the world?
    >> Anonymous 09/12/10(Sun)18:52 No.2081555
    >>2081512

they're starting to control more and more oil fields, gold mines, ore mines etc.
simply means more energy for China + more resources for China's economy
basically it's beginning of China's imperialism, if they really want to take over world from USA, this will be marked as their first step
next what they would have to do is to get even more resources, either by taking Siberia from Russians or invading India to stop it's economy (India is very fragile country, it's not so stable as people think)

anyways, it's hard to say what's China planning, maybe they're just trying to make best country for living in the world and not to became new masters

    tl;dr

they're preparing to assrape the world

Chinese are taking over African resources to fuel their economy. The implications here are that it makes them less dependent on the rest of us (also including middle east) which is a double edged sword. On one hand they will be well fed enough to prevent them from waging bloody wars, on the other hand they will no longer have to care that much about our opinion.

It also probably means human rights in Africa will be dead for good.

    >It also probably means human rights in Africa will be dead for good.

as long Africa has resources human rights won't exist in Africa
Western world is fueled by middle east and Africa, this war on terrorism is just an excuse to prevent middle eastern countries from controlling oil resources
Western world deliberately sabotages any attempt of creating stable black African country
best example of this is Congo, country with shitload of resources which doesn't have even organized school system - West simply doesn't want Congo to have economy to spend its resources

    tl;dr Western nations are nazis

Why would west need to wage war on middle east on resources and wreck the oil infrastructure when we can just buy all that sweet stuff? Oil prices inevitably rise after every war in the region.

    >Western world deliberately sabotages any attempt of creating stable black African country

Yeah, right, it would be nice to ask your for sauce but inevitably each time I do I just get a lot of pointless lies and half-arsed crap I don't have the energy to dispel. Either way, former British South Africa is on the phone and it would like to have a word with you.

Yeah yeah but it's not like it was a deliberate attempt to destabilize anything. It was an attempt to the contrary.

The west will be damned one way or another. Send in peacekeepers and get called imperialists, don't send them in and get called murderers for not intervening in locals being unable to get their shit straight.

Either way, there's no point in the west destabilizing things. To the contrary, west wants stable Africa because stability brings investment opportunities and enables us to tap new resources.

PS: Where were Russia and China when Serbs massacred all those men and women in Srebrenica?

not that they did nothing, they even handed civilians, because UN peacekeepers made deal with Serbs (Netherlands government fall down because of this in 2002)

The news about China trading with Africa is merely "China Threat" propaganda. Western nations still trade more with Africa than China does, and have more investments in the continent.

Basically, China is used as a media "boogeyman". Students not studying hard enough? "Chinese students are scoring better in math!" Need to turn attention away from internal problems? "China has terrible human rights!" And on and on.
    >> Anonymous 09/12/10(Sun)19:26 No.2081748
    >>2081729

"Handing them over" is exactly the same as doing nothing. "Handing them over" sounds much more omnious, it implies malevolence on part of the peacekeepers but that obscures the greater picture.

The peacekeepers were told the refugees will be handled ok, and more importantly, if the peacekeepers would have refused the kind request of Serbs to hand over the refugees, they would have been killed too. I seem to recall something about unwillingness of NATO to send them air cover, but I doubt they could have held out against the entire Serb battlegroup even if they wanted to.

The only difference they would have made if they resisted (which they had no mandate for, remember), was that they would be killed alongside with civilians.

Again, while Western soldiers were faced with this horrible, terrifying choice in which they were damned no matter their decision, the Russians actually lended Serbs their diplomatic support. Yet while we're exposed to ton of anti-west propaganda every day and told to pour ash on our heads, and while people masturbate over images of Putin, western soldiers were the only ones who actually did even attempt to keep those people safe, however ineffectually they might have went on about it.

"West wants Free Tibet just to keep the Chinaman down." You know what they used as a proof of our supposed fear of yellow peril? Lack of chinese characters on posters in San Francisco and in Europe.

Quite frankly, I don't think it's too much off mark to say that a communist one-party dictatorship, which demands families of executed political dissidents to pay for bullets used in their execution, is going to be terribly interested in furthering the cause of human rights.

The USA was the ONLY country to blame for the bloodbath in Vietnam and Korea

The USA made a pact with the USSR and China. All 3 agreed not to send troops past the 38th parallel

Guess which country broke their promise?

And during Vietnam, the USA fucked up the geneva accords, and sent soldiers in after they promised to keep out of vietnam

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geneva_Conference_%281954%29

The agreement was among Cambodia, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, France, Laos, the People's Republic of China, the State of Vietnam, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom. The United States took note and acknowledged that the agreement existed, but refused to sign the agreement, to avoid being legally bound to it.

Do you really think the Europeans didn't build infrastructure? Go look at India, most of what's there was build by the Brits. Much like the chinks, they build railroads to transport the goods that were produced in the country. It didn't help the native people. They couldn't afford a ticket anyway.

And if you think starvation and water scarceness isn't a HUGE problem in Africa, think again. The population growth is out of control and the production of food isn't going up. Same goes for fresh water supplies - especially in a nation with very primitive and thus very wasteful water irrigation systems.
