I think this is a good idea too, even if it will take away 2 front page spots. /po/ used to have stickies about what kind of glue and paper to use, and how to read the diagrams, and I think that helped the board a lot.

A surprisingly large number of people like to post a new thread about "what glue should I use" and "what paper should I use" on /po/. (the answers are: elmers glue is fine, and depends on the project, but normal computer paper is good for most projects)

but somehow I doubt that some newfag who wants a tattoo or logo design, will even click reply to the sticky, then will see all the helpful links you posted. its about the information actually being visable on the first page, so its like "BOOM" right when you first visit this place.
