08/12/09(Wed)23:37 No.443556Your
obsession with style will forever strangle your artistic potential.
Either realize that there's more to art than being kawaii or don't
complain when everything you make looks like a santorum ass cake.
There's
nothing we can say about this piece because *everything* is wrong. We
could go through it and point out every single problem, but it would
take forever and you'd ultimately learn nothing from it. In this case,
it's your attitude that is the problem -- /ic/ is a perfectly good
teacher, and I and many many other people have taken away plenty of
positive teachings from it, but unless you take that step towards
FUCKING LISTENING TO WHAT IS SAID TO YOU EVEN IF IT ISN'T PERSONALLY
APPEALING TO YOUR DESIRE FOR INSTANT GRATIFICATION AND REWARD WITHOUT
EFFORT, of course you're not going to fucking learn anything. Not even
the best professor in the world could teach you anything if you stuck
your fingers in your ears and refused to acknowledge anything he said.
Think
about why we're telling you these things, and instead of assuming we're
just bigotted anti-animu crusaders, consider what what we're saying
means and how we arrived at that conclusion. Plenty of us started out
with animu, myself included -- and when I realized that my anime would
get better *because* of my basic studies, not in spite of it, I
actually began to really improve for the first time *ever* and so can
you.
You are at the point where you need to help your fucking
self. Study anatomy, perspective, color theory, composition and
lighting, and then we'll have something constructive to say about your
individual pieces. Until then, we've given you plenty of information to
learn, so use it to your god damn advantage.
Yet again, read these:
