I got files from my old computer back so I felt like doing one. But I did this some months ago so I had to add some pictures and change the place where present is.
I think I haven't progressed much in drawing but coloring, lines and stuff like that mostly.

I am a writer, not an artist. I forced myself into becoming an artist so I could find a more valuable outlet for my writing. Comics are easier to read than books for most people, so I started doing them.

...And animations are easier to indoctrinate people with than comics, because the pictures literally talk to you.

When you Otaku's get out of lineart and two toned shading mode you'll realize how much there is to learn, and how you can put your own spin on the pictures that influence you.

Not that the comics I did were much better. The place had developed its own setting through the various comic battles. Imagine the Marvel or DC universe, which is bad enough- but written by teenagers. Seeing how all of the comics had characters based in this setting, nearly all of them were crap. Maybe pretty, but normally crap. It was a good kiddy pool to get acclimated in, but I realize how much it stunted my ability to do a stand alone comic.

Hi I've had "art block" lasting longer than that and I think I would still be suffering from it if I didn't do something about it and what I did was I began drawing things completely different, shit I never even dreamed of drawing before which was basically everything other than animu people and then not only did the art block go away but I also discovered that I'm enjoying drawing different things in different techniques more than I ever did drawing OCs and shit so take it from someone who's been drawing for 20 something years - sit down or better yet stand up, take a drawing tool you've never held before and draw something you never even noticed existed. Don't care how it turned out, throw it in the garbage after it's done it doesn't matter, just draw something else and most importantly draw it ONLY for yourself. Or do a sculpture or whatever else just don't copypasta anymore and the art block will go away.
I think "art block" is some sort of brain automated self defense mechanism against being retarded which is a good thing provided you have it because judging from dA not many people seem to have it. I mean look at the OP, 6 years and possibly more of always the same thing all the time without any progress whatsoever so it's only natural our brain would rather die than see you do another OC ever again.

I'm sorry for saying this but some of you aren't improving (perspective, proportion, dynamism, composition), just chaging from one trendy style to another.

You could say that improvement does not mean "copying some famous artist because that way people will like my drawings too". Some people have done great improvements though, showing how perseverance and hard work bear good results.

My hubby could, he's good enough, but I dont want to lose my passion for it, nor do I have enough confidence or time to pursue it to the point where I'd get good enough to make money with it. I like my job and I make $60,000 a year at 22 years old, I think I'm good for the time being.
