a fairly big project for someone kind of new to digi painting, with a
full body, bg, other details, etc., but yea, you're right. If you're not
going for or intending for that soft painted look then you need to make
your shadows stand out a lot more. I'd work on your bg stuff too, while
you get an effort for the details like all the stuff on the floor, a
lot of it is really blocky and sloppy and it lowers the quality of the
pic as a whole.
But I do like the girl and the cat quite a bit,
actually, painting issues aside, and the composition isn't half-bad, and
there's a real mood to this. Really try to check out some tutorials and
practice your painting techniques and keep at it, you've got a lot of
potential for improvement. |
