Again, in the one i quoted before, its bottom is flat but there is a big lump in the middle that doesnt seem to have a reason to be there. I kinda get what you're trying to do but it just looks kinda weird to me. and in the OP the head is far too small for the shaft, but yeah.

I'm not that Anon, but I know what the problem is. Your color choice is really good, but you don't have enough contrast with your values. Even with the amount of blending you do, if you use more contrast with your shadows things will seem more solid and less fuzzy.

And the lumpy thing is kind of tied in with that. You have a lot of tangents with your lines, where your lines clash or run into each other, making the shapes look unclear. Divisions between objects are also fuzzy because of the lack of contrast. No lines is fun, but you need value to distinguish between fore/background.

Hope that helps! Your stuff is really good, I just think those minor tweaks would help it a ton.
