You can create a custom brush, with whatever kind of tip you want. Have it paint with "pencil" style so it has a pixelated edge, and have opacity based on pen pressure. Also, you can make it change the angle of your stroke based on the angle you hold the pen.

Heres a quick example I scratched up.

So do you all use drawing pads to do all this? I would assume so, since drawing with a mouse is complete shit.

Nothing special, I quickly just messed with the defaults. Just look to the window on the right there.

All I did was make the brush oval shaped instead of round. Click on "brush tip shape" and you can change the brush around, like in my pic here.

When you click on the "shape dynamics" tab, I set the brush size to pen pressure and brush angle to pen tilt.

And of course, "other dynamics" I set opacity to pen pressure. That seems to be what OP was looking to do.
