I mean the whole expression. Unless you have some unique musculature in your face, that's an impossible expression to put on.

Specifically: keeping one eye closed and the other open it's normal width without moving your cheek muscles (in that anime style, moving the cheek muscles would result in the "u" shape of the closed eye flipping vertically to an arc).

You can totally close one eye and have one open without moving your cheeks, but the open eye's only going to be able to be open a tiny bit. It's also possible to do if you use push your brow down to keep your eye closed, but here both eyebrows are raised.

This expression bugs me because I see it ALL THE TIME in anime and manga, and it's used to show boredom or disinterest or simple complacency...when in reality it's not a face you'd put on unless you were trying.

Even if I draw and practice and learn for 10 years I'll probably never be half as good as Graph or Sparrow or the other guys with experience here, so it can never be more than just an amateur hobby for me. But if I ever had anyone become sycophantic over me from my drawings, it would probably be incredibly depressing, because no matter how good I was, whatever it would be, I would rather have real input outside of constant endless fawning. I'm not saying I wouldn't like fawning, but a world where everyone blankly unconditionally loves everything you do would be a a meaningless world.

I want you to try and make that face yourself. Raise your eyebrows up, close both eyes, then try to fully (or even halfway) open one of them. When I do it I have to furrow the brow above the closed eye, or it creaks open.
