Gentoo user here. Gentoo is not hard to use. Just the install might be 'hard' for a newcomer.

Well I use Windows and a couple of different Linux based distros, on different machines for different reasons. I have never and will never use Macshit because I have always thought it was stupid and useless.

Gentoo almost user here. It wasn't hard to install, but it took an absurd amount of time, and compiling a graphical desktop was going to take me literally days of compiling, so I said fuck it and installed Mint again. I'm sure it's good on desktops, but it's not viable at all for use on a low power netbook. Can't handle all dat compiling.
