Why even bother using Linux, when Mac and Windows are so much simpler OS?
>>
Well you do get a free Noose with your free OS.
>>
because windows and macs are too mainstream
>>
>>35572939 (OP)
simpler != better
And why do people STILL think GNU/Linux is hard to install? It's literally as easy as installing windows, if not even easier.
>>
>>35572939 (OP)
because they can rice their shitty animu desktop
>>
>>35573000
It's working it that's hard.
>>
>>35572983
This.
>>
Because both of them are crap
>>
>>35573003
you can doo that on linux too
>>
Why even bother using a computer, toaster and hair dryer are so much simpler machines?

>>35573013
It's not.
Well, maybe if you're trying to install gentoo it is, but if you get something easy like Mint or Xubuntu, it's insanely easy.

Gentoo user here. Gentoo is not hard to use. Just the install might be 'hard' for a newcomer.
>>
Well I use Windows and a couple of different Linux based distros, on different machines for different reasons. I have never and will never use Macshit because I have always thought it was stupid and useless.

> Compile, compile
You don't need to compile anything.
>Spend days trying to get Wifi to work
Instal the drivers, idiot
>Spend month learning Terminal Commands
You most likely would use a Desktop Environment and barely use the terminal except when you are developing
>Realize how much time you wasted
Lel
>>
>>35573043
Well, I'll take your word for it.
I'm a linux retard so I've never tried it.

Confirmed for not even using Linux or being the worst kind of Ubuntu babby.
>>
>>35573043
Gentoo almost user here. It wasn't hard to install, but it took an absurd amount of time, and compiling a graphical desktop was going to take me literally days of compiling, so I said fuck it and installed Mint again. I'm sure it's good on desktops, but it's not viable at all for use on a low power netbook. Can't handle all dat compiling.
>>
>>35573057
>You don't need to compile anything.
you kinda do with some software that's not in the repositories
>>
>>35573106
The average user would most likely get their shit from a Software Center.
If you are not the average user then you wouldn't even be complaining because you are aware how this shit is meant to work.
>>
installing things is easier to learn and do in windows
>>
>>35573126
Or I could just use Windows.
