I wouldn't be surprised. But normals can't tell. Hell, even I'm not that good at distinguishing sound quality. When I moved from $1 earbuds to $100 headphones I barely noticed any difference.

A few days ago, I tried those earbuds out again. God that was horrible.

Because their tiny brains are very easily influenced by marketing, which also causes a placebo effect that makes them legitimately believe that they're better..

I will tell you why: Because of the design, not for sound quality. They're really paying for the brand name, not for any actual quality. Which makes a lot of sense why teens 13-17 wear them more as fashion than for actual use, along with the fact that many parents buy them for their children.

It's the same thing people buy Skullcandy headphones, only difference is that they're not overpriced and they're not made by Monster.

I tried out the Beats and like 5 other brands at Best Buy. The Beats were the worst sounding and felt the worst on my head/ears. I'm baffled why anyone considers them good.
