4chan now supports de-pagination/infinite scroll. Just click "All Pages" in the page navigation (to the right of Catalog), or select "Always use infinite scroll" in the [Settings] menu (note, you must have the inline extension enabled to use this feature).

The inline extension also now supports enabling the thread auto-updater by default. Just select "Auto-update by default" in [Settings], and threads will always auto-update when you load them.

What are /g/'s favorite alternatives to google services?
>>
fastmail.net
>>
Nothing, embrace the botnet.
>>
Apple services
>>
Google drive
>>
There's no replacement for youtube, but you can just run adblock and call it a day.
>>
Outlook is pretty good.
Bing is so-so.
Vimeo isn't terrible.

But that's the thing. You can find alternatives but they're never quite as good.
>>
SDF.org, OpenStreetMap, and DuckDuckGo.

Indeed. You just can't replace google's botnet.

I've gone Google for most of my life (I just switched to All Access this week) HOWEVER, Google will have to put in a lot of effort if they want me to switch from Dropbox. Dropbox simply has a more complete product, and I don't need Google reading all of my private files.

Anything I send over Gmail is already capturable unless I use PGP, they have that anyway. My music choices aren't exactly a secret. Failbook and Twatter already know my location at all times, I have no problem using maps.

But the cloud storage? Anything in there isn't the end of the world if it gets out, because Dropbox would probably throw it at the feds the moment they ask. However Google is more likely to take it upon themselves to look through my stuff to show more targeted ads. Dropbox isn't trying to sell ads.

Read it. I guess my point is, Dropbox isn't as likely to sell keywords appearing in my files to the highest bidder.

With ANY service allowing web browser access (except Mega, but Mega isn't as complete as Dropbox), they MUST hold the encryption keys.

In fact, now that I think about it, Dropbox really should be using a Mega style crypto key system. But they don't. So I don't put incriminating shit in Dropbox.

Does anyone know of a better alternative to Google Alerts?

you're probably right, though I hate it when people claim "we are not even able to do anything" and in the end it's all lies. this is what makes me lose all trust in companies

They now have functionality that is identical to Dropbox.
