Talking to a friend of mine that owns the first one he said that rooting it will let you half ass play 10bit 720p .mkv animu releases on MX Player so I'd guess this one would run them really well and maybe even up to 1080p.

That's the reason I'm getting one. For all my weeb shit. Anime, manga, VNs, ect. in a comfortable little device.

What's the point of a tablet again?

Probably not unless I break my 16GB. My N7 still doesn't even have a scratch on it after a year of use and does everything I want it to. The little things I wouldn't mind having like a decent rear camera, HDMI out etc my phone does. So I'm in no rush.

got some bad news for you weaboos, the Tegra 3 was the chip that enabled primitive 10bit video, but they're using the S4 this time (almost if not exactly the same as the N4 one), and i've tested 10bit shit on the N4 and it doesn't work.

I am definitely planning to purchase this for media consumption on the go. Problem is that shitty internal storage that i can't expand with sd cards.

So the problem is that I want a shit load of content and the first thing I could think of were like micro thumbdrives but those would get fairly confusing as to what content is on them.
Next I thought that a wireless drive would be the fix to all my problems but I'm not hearing good things about 1080p playback. Also any high quality cases for the nexus7 similar to the ipad's magnet one so I can put it in landscape mode and watch a movie?

So heres a question, will the old cases for original N7s be able to be used on the new moldes?

Firefox is hella slow and laggy as fuck on my N7, but I primarily use it cause I had to manually put flash on it. Also without the adobe flash, it was still hiccuping pretty bad with lag.
