Just look at the specs on the Best Buy website. More RAM is better. The higher the frequency and the more cores of the processor the better. Intel crap usually trumps AMD crap. i3<i5<i7. Wireless networking a<b<g<n, but everything you sell shoul have n. Memorize how much laptops weigh, how many usb ports they have, what other connections they have.. But really none of that fucking matters. What your real job will be is to convince customers that they need add ons, peripherals, extended warranties, onsite services, anything with a higher margin than computers, which they usually sell at a loss.

A lot of Best Buys suddenly closed where I live (Western Canada). I hope this doesn't happen to you, OP. I was working security at one of them the morning after it happened. None of the employees had been given any warning. It was really sad.

You need to be a salesman, first and foremost. I had a friend, who I shall say was the "technically-challenged" kind of person. They had him selling TVs at best buy, even though he's not a guru when it comes to the products/systems he's selling.

you'll have to ask someone else about router quality, i just buy the 150$ one once every 6 years or so.
