I've never seen a job application ask for a facebook page. What the hell kind of places are you applying?

Making a facebook account with minimal details and maximum privacy settings might be a good idea, but it will still look suspicious since you can see the creation date.

Just make an excuse that you don't use facebook much and you deleted your previous account or something.

In the field where it asks for an FB account just write >>>/reddit/

Also, companies want to know everything possible about an applicant. New hires are going to be walking around, representing the company. Do they want Joe Skinhead, who attends Klan meetings every Friday as a Grand Wizard? The absence of information about a person is just as bad as negative information.

The process should be that if they can't find the information the preferred way that they then ask you questions to get the wanted information. Or perhaps through asking you to tell them of an event or tell a story of something to judge your character.
