Hey there, /g/, I need your help.

Recently I've been accepted in a Political Science degree, in a great university. For those who don't know much about it, I'll study a lot of political theory, sociology, philosophy, history, etc. But I don't feel like using notebooks and whatever. I wanna use a tablet or a ultrabook. Thing is, I don't know what to choose. I've been whatching reviews, reading comments and stuff but I still haven't decided yet. I'll list some of the best ones. Also, I want something that allows me reading, writing in class, working papers, essays and college stuff.

-Latest iPad.
-Galaxy Note Tab 10.1.
-Microsoft Surface Pro.
-Google Nexus 10.
-Insert Dell Ultrabook here.

So, what do you think, /g/? I'm willing to buy a Surface Pro, but there are some drawbacks such as battery life, more expensive, etc.

Get a thinkpad x series tablet with proper stylus input. That and a full keyboard will be much better for note taking than the average tablet. Probably more durable, too.

Haven't heard a word about that one. What can you tell me about it?

There are plenty of reasons.

Durable, good keyboard, nice battery life, decently portable. Pressure sensitivity and shit for the stylus input so handwritten notes will be far superior to something on a regular capacitive tablet. Some also have IPS displays, so good color quality.

Could get pricey if you want a new one, though. The one in the pic is an X220T, which is lovely but still in the range of $600+ used. Older models are certainly still usable though.

The better question is why would he want to waste money getting a polisci degree.

Touche.

I'm curious, OP, what's your definition of a "great university"? Don't need specifics, just like a level (harvard-tier, lower ivy tier, near ivy tear, etc).

Should run Win 8 fine
