EE Master race

Gonna focus on energy, green technology and automation.

I will be rolling in dosh and never unemployed. Thanks for shitting up the world!

Computer Science takes the useful and applicable parts of Mathematics and applies it to an engineering paradigm.

Computer Science (at least in my school) requires 9 more hours of mathematics than Electrical Engineering, and 12 more than Mechanical and Civil Engineering.

Computer Engineering is a pointless degree for people who can't decide or don't know the difference between software, hardware, and information. You would be better off going EE w/ CS minor, or CS w/ EE minor.

Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (I.E. "real science degrees) are just memorizing information discovered by PhDs. You don't actually work on anything actually contributing to the field until your post-Masters, unless you count gathering lab results for other people contributing, who then decide if said results are worth keeping, or the experiment should be tweaked. At least in Engineering or Computer Science you are creating tangible or useful things from the information gathered in undergrad.

Anyone here taking EE or CS?

I'm tied between the two (might be taking both at Berkeley). Which is harder? I know EE is hard, but can you describe how hard it is? Are they both good going into the future market?
>>
>>34800236
Take the one you like more.
>>
>>34800236

hardware vs software

think about what you like better, working with circuits and systems or doing useless code monkey shit with smelly indians
>>
What's with all the CompSci hate?
Granted, most grads don't know their shit it all, and I wouldn't hire most of them as programmers. But is it that different from EE/Mech grads?
>>
>>34800236
I did EE. I didn't think it was that hard, frankly.

EE it is. What kind of hardware is within the spectrum of EE, but outside of Computer Engineering?
>>
>>34800331
Bad example, EE's do programming.

ITT: people in shit unis who don't know shit. If you would have ever talked to somebody that knows his shit you would know that all of the above are useful. Rating majors that are all natural science or mathematics related is senseless.
